1-Day Juice Fast

This is probably the easiest cleanse that you can do. It only takes a day, is super easy and everyone from beginners to very busy people will be able to complete this.

You might have heard about the benefits of juicing from a friend or a colleague. Maybe you have read about it online and have decided that you would like to go ahead and try it out for yourself. First of all, great choice! But in order to get started you need to know how to get started. With this article, I want to explain the popular 1-day juice fast to you.

Great For Beginners

A 1-day juice fast is great for beginners and for people who are new to the whole idea of juicing. The idea is that you are cleansing your body from free radicals and other harmful substances for one whole day, only consuming various juices. A 1-day juice fast is great for a quick turnaround and a quick cleansing of your body. Some people like to follow this type of fast once a week, as they feel much more energized afterwards.

There are some fruits and vegetables that are very good for the purpose of a 1-day juice fast. The fruits included on this list are the following: Apples, grapes, oranges, kiwis, lemons, pears or pineapples. The vegetables recommended for the 1-day juice fast are the following: Carrots, beets, celery, cucumbers, spinach, or cabbages. You can combine these to suit your own tastes, but I is best to go easy on the fruit, as fruit juices are very high in sugar.

Juices, Water & Herbal Teas

A juice fast should start in the morning and then continue until you go to bed at night. You shouldn’t eat any food during the fast, and should limit your drinking to your juices, some water and maybe some herbal teas, with the latter being optional. We would also recommend that you make your juice yourself. This way you can make sure that you will only consume very fresh juice which will help your body adjust more quickly. Fresh juice is also much higher in nutrients. I would suggest drinking your juices within 5-10 minutes of making them. If you need to take your juice to work I would suggest making it in the morning and putting straight into a thermos flask in order to keep it cool during the day. Also, fill the flask right to the top so that there is a an absolute minimum of air in the flask

Who Shouldn't Juice?

As with everything, no matter how good it is, there are certain things that you should take into account. If you are pregnant or nursing, this fast is not for you. Please do not attempt to follow it during any of these times. If you have any of the following medical conditions, you should not attempt to follow a juice diet either, or if you absolutely want to, only under strict medical supervision: Diabetes, low blood sugar, eating disorders, kidney disease, liver disease, malnutrition, addictions, underweight, anemia, impaired immune function, infection, nutritional deficiency, low blood pressure, ulcerative colitis, cancer, terminal illness, epilepsy, or other chronic conditions. Similarly if you had recent surgical procedures done, do not attempt a juice fast following the procedure, as it could slow down the healing process.

There are some side effects associated with the 1-day juice fast, namely diarrhea, fainting, dizziness and vomiting, but this is less likely on a 1-day fast. If you happen to experience any of these, it is recommended that you stop the fast and, if necessary, go see a qualified physician.

Having said all the negatives things about the 1-day juice fast, what are the positives? A one day fast is great for quick weight loss, revitalization and for a quick cleansing of the body which will help you to achieve a better body; slimmer and healthier. It will also, hopefully, get you into good eating habits.

3-Day Juice Fast Similar to the 1-Day Juice Fast, but taking things a step further for deeper cleansing.
7-Day Juice Fast This juice fast takes the detox and cleansing process even further and you should feel great after this one.
7-Day Juice Fast Day by Day This is a great length of juice fast and we make suggestions for each day.
30-Day Juice Fast  This one shouldn't be attempted by beginners. This is best built up to very slowly. Should be done only be done under medical supervision. This is the most complete juice fast and should achieve amazing results if done properly.
