The seven day fast is easily followed: You will only consume juice from the time you raise until the time you go to bed for seven straight days. The amount of juice that you will consume is up to yourself, as the amount is dictated by your hunger. Most people would probably consume 3-6 juices a day, and no more than 8-12 ounces per serving. You can of course drink water over the entire fast and if you feel you need to, you can also consume herbal tea.

For the 7-day fast, the combinations of fruits and vegetables in each drink is very important. Many people like to combine juices to get a good flavor, but I would try to make sure that at least 80% of your juice in vegetable juice. Fruit juice is very high in sugar and is best used to slightly sweeten your vegetables juices. Fruit choices include, but are not limited to, the following: Apples, dark grapes, lemons or A├žai berries. The vegetables list includes, but again is not limited to: Celery, cucumber, kale, cabbage or broccoli.

There are some side effects associated with a juice detox of this length and these include bad breath, fatigue, headaches and to some degree enhanced bowl movements. All these will go back to normal though as soon as you end the fast. The symptoms are just a sign that your body is getting rid of unwanted toxins and cleansing itself at a deep level.
