Blend all of these ingredients into the consistency of a juice drink. You can drink two to three glasses of this
cleansing drink every day. This is effective in getting rid of toxins from your body.
• Master Cleanse Drink
Pour into a 10 ounce glass the
following ingredients: 8 ounces of water, 1/10 tsp of cayenne pepper, 2 tbsp of maple syrup and 2 tbsp of fresh
lemon juice. Mix them well and drink 6 to 10 glasses of this mixture for a period of 10 days.
• Vegetable Cleansing Soup
Chop into small pieces 2 cups
of celery, 2 cups of red-skinned potato, 2 cups of carrot, 2 cups of beets and 1 small zucchini. Pour them all into
a pot and add 2 quarts of water and bring them to a boil. Simmer for 45 minutes and take the soup while warm.
Poached Red Snapper on Kale with Red Pepper Coulis
If you want something that is more palatable, then the special Poached Red Snapper on Kale with Red Pepper
Coulis could be your cup of tea. The ingredients are the following:
• 6 pieces of red snapper at 4 oz each
• One lemon, juiced
• One cup basil
• 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 2 tsp chopped garlic
• 1 tsp peppercorns
• 1 bayleaf
• 2 red peppers
• 2 pounds of kale
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. In a shallow baking tray, cover the 6 pieces of snapper with water and add the
peppercorns, bay leaf and lemon juice. Put the tray in the oven for 30 minutes. While waiting for the fish to cook
sauté the kale with olive oil and garlic and place it on the plates. This will be the base of the dish. Broil the
peppers until it is blackened and remove the skin and seeds. Dice and sauté these pieces with olive oil and basil.
Set aside and puree when cooled. Divide the kale into 6 pieces and place them in 6 plates. Put the 6 pieces of red
snapper in each plate and sprinkle the coulis.
As a precautionary measure, ask the counsel of your medical provider if you are going on an herbal cleansing
diet. You should be careful because some herbal products if taken excessively can be detrimental to your health.
For example, cascara sagrada is an herb used in colon cleansing. Medical authorities say that you should not take
this herb for more than 7 days. It can upset your digestive tracts and may even cause bloody diarrhea and vomiting.
In the same vein, you should also be careful in using the herbs Senna and Psyllium for colon cleansing. As a
general rule, they should not be used longer than 7 days.
