Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet

Nowadays people are becoming aware of the need to take care of their health. This is largely motivated by the increasing statistics of chronic diseases that are now wrecking havoc to the lives of many.

On the personal level, most often you feel lethargic, lacking the energy to do even menial tasks around the house. It is indeed true that we are what we eat. If we eat unhealthy foods, how can we expect to be healthy? Fortunately, we are now being awakened by the consequences of careless eating habits. We need to regain our health and the first thing we could do is to cleanse our system from all the toxins and waste that have accumulated throughout all these years.

One way to do that is by undertaking a Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet. This cleansing procedure was developed by Stanley Burroughs in the 1940s. It is a naturopathic way of getting rid of your body’s toxins. If you follow this program, you will be restricted to a 100% liquid diet consisting of lemonade juice and water. For a minimum period of 10 days, you will only take lemonade juice.

The Complete Master Cleanse: A Step-by-Step Guide to Maximizing the Benefits of The Lemonade Diet
Typically, this juice will contain fresh organic lemons, together with clean, fresh water, maple syrup, water with sea-salt and herbal tea. The recipes are really very simple and you will be required to drink 60 ounces of lemonade a day. This limit is not so strict and you can drink as much as you want. However, it would be safe if you will drink the equivalent in ounces of your body weight every day.

Main Ingredients of a Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet

• Clean Water – purified, filtered clean water is very important in detoxifying your system. The source of your local water supply, like it or not, cannot really provide you with clean water that is required by this cleansing program. In fact your local tap water may even have harmful chemicals in them. These can also be true with bottled water since the companies producing them are not strictly regulated. Filtered water is the most suitable for this purpose. You can buy filtered water at grocery stores or you can buy a home water filter and you can have your clean water anytime you need it. Be judicious in buying filtered water or water filters to ensure that you get the quality that you need.

• Lemon juice – use only fresh organic lemons and not concentrated lemon juice. Organic fruits are not grown by chemical fertilizers and not sprayed with pesticides therefore they are chemical free. Bottled or canned lemon juice contains sugar and other preservatives which are some of the sources of toxicity levels in your system therefore stay away from them.
• Maple syrup – use grade B maple syrup and not the artificially sugar sweetened table variety. Aside from its nutrients, it will make your juices more palatable.
• Cayenne powder – use the naturally grown cayenne pepper. This will help in the breaking up of mucus and will induce blood flow. It is also a good source of essential elements like vitamin B and C.
• Sea salt – you will mix this with clean water and use as a laxative. Be sure that they are not the refined or iodized type.
• Optional ingredients – laxative tea (substitute for the sea-salt tea) and herbal tea (decaffeinated; will be used to break the monotony of lemon juice taste; can be bought in a variety of flavors)
